After spending months researching on-line for a steam iron like the one I am using in Europe, from all the reviews I read, the Euro Pro Shark Steam Iron seems to be the best one in the US for a good price. I had it shipped to an address in the States to use during my holidays. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box is that there are about 5 or 6 holes underneath the iron on the plate at the tip end and not like mine which is all over the plate. The cord from the iron to the generator gets very, very hot and the iron itself although I read it in the reviews is much heavier than I thought it would be. To try it out I ironed a shirt. It took much longer to iron than my one in Europe so I would guess a basket load would take longer but nevertheless did the job perfectly. The cord was long enough to place the generator on the floor which I was happy about. Unfortunately, I cannot give any other good or bad reviews as I only tried it with one shirt so, time will tell!
