Trib tested: Sultra The Bombshell 1-inch curling iron
-->My promised bombshell hair just plain bombed. I might be too set in my ways, but I don't see the benefit of not having a clip on a curling iron to hold the hair while curling. I feel like I'm using a curling iron made for a leftie, and I can't get the hang of it. The curling process seems backward, because you have to start at the top of your head and wind the hair around the rod until you get to the end.
It's scary using the pretty pink glove, because you still can feel the heat coming through, and you think you are just a couple of seconds from a serious burn. Although there are numerous warnings to not allow the gloved hand to directly touch the hot iron -- how else is the hair supposed to hold to the rod without the clip? Save your money and stick with a regular curling iron.

A clipless curling iron takes a bit of practice to keep from hurting yourself. My first try resulted in multiple burns -- wrist, neck and top of ear. My second attempt was much more cautious and pain-free. And, I must say, in defense of the Bombshell, my first attempt at using a traditional curling iron back in the day left me with a mark or two.

It was an incongruous sight: dewolfe, with his jeans, long hair and chunky silver ring, looking more like a musician or actor than a corporate executive,
