Yamaha Adds Aventage 3D Blu-ray Player
Buena Park, Calif. -- On the heels of announcing its new line of Aventage 3D A/V receivers, Yamaha Electronics Monday introduced the Aventage BD-A1010 universal Blu-ray Disc player with advanced 3D and HD video and audio playback functionality.The new players was said to have been designed to complement the recently introduced new 3D Aventage receivers with compatible advanced performance and control features.
Key features in the A1010, which is shipping now at a $500 suggested retail, include Internet video streaming via Netflix, Blockbuster on Demand and YouTube Leanback services, and dual USB (front/rear) inputs compatible with a wide-array of audio and video playback digital entertainment media formats and source/storage devices.
The BD player is also compatible with a free downloadable iPhone app for component and A/V system control. A similar app for Android devices will be introduced later this year, Yamaha said.
